The sand filter is a part that helps protect the plumbing and prevent the faucets from clogging. It can sometimes cause a lack of pressure if not properly cleaned.
Here are the steps to follow
- To start with, you need a water container (boiler).
- Close your home’s main valve.
- Close the valve after filtration. (If installed)
- Place the boiler under the filter.
- Use the valve (located on the filter) to release pressure from the system.
- Open (by hand) the filter box.
- Empty the case and remove the soiled cartridge.
- Clean the cartridge and place it in the case (o-ring side up).
- Install the housing and tighten by hand.
- Open main valve.
- Open secondary valve (if fitted)
- Open a tap to bleed air from your plumbing.
