It&#8217;s vital to ensure that the collar is tightened to 60 in-lbs. This will prevent it from slipping when the pump is removed. If you have a shaft longer than 300 feet, we strongly recommend installing more than one shock absorber. The first torque arrestor should be positioned between 18&#8243; and 24&#8243; above the submersible pump.
