{"id":6610,"date":"2024-05-15T19:13:30","date_gmt":"2024-05-15T23:13:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pompemdg.com\/how-to-identify-a-lack-of-pressure\/"},"modified":"2026-01-13T12:26:34","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T16:26:34","slug":"how-to-identify-a-lack-of-pressure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pompemdg.com\/en\/how-to-identify-a-lack-of-pressure\/","title":{"rendered":"How to identify a lack of pressure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Often an intermittent lack of pressure indicates a lack of maintenance or a need for maintenance on the system.<\/p>\n<p>Following the identification of the lack of pressure we can target the common problems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here are some probable causes of lack of constant pressure.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your pressure tank is faulty (flat balloon);<\/li>\n<li>Your pressure switch is faulty;<\/li>\n<li>Your submersible pump is at the end of its life (15 and 20 years is considered a normal life);<\/li>\n<li>The flow rate of your well has decreased considerably;<\/li>\n<li>The pipes are clogged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>When we talk about a lack of pressure, we must identify whether the lack is &#8221;constant&#8221; or &#8221;intermittent&#8221;.<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A constant lack of pressure<\/strong>: in most cases affects the entire house and we do not see an increase in pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px; text-align: left;\"><em><strong>Example: we open the tap and we see that the pressure is already very low and decreases until it is zero.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Intermittent lack of pressure<\/strong>: affects some or all parts of the house, but there is often a slow decrease in pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 80px;\"><em><strong>Example: the tap is opened and the pressure is good, but it decreases quite quickly until it is bad or zero.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Often a constant lack of pressure reveals a more complex problem and requires calling on our services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contact us<\/strong> (450) 275-1304<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-19864 \" src=\"https:\/\/pompemdg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/identification-equipment_Pompe-MDG.jpg\" alt=\"Equipment Identification\" width=\"480\" height=\"854\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Often an intermittent lack of pressure indicates a lack of maintenance or a need for maintenance on the system.
